Hello! I’m Mr. Paddington Brown, the official school dog at Martins Wood Primary School.

You’ll probably spot me around the school, but if you’d like to follow along with my adventures and all the fun things I get up to here, make sure to check in on my blog for regular updates!

Dogs have preferences when it comes to being touched. They generally enjoy being stroked on the neck, chest, or behind the ears, but they often dislike having their paws, tail, or face touched.

It’s important to always ask for permission before stroking a dog. Not all dogs are social, and some may feel threatened by unexpected touches. Asking first, shows respect for the dog’s space and helps ensure a safe, positive interaction between both the dog and the person.

So remember: always ask before you pet! It’s a simple way to keep everyone happy.

 

Story Time Snuggles (and Poses!) in Reception

I joined Reception for story time, but honestly, I was way too busy flashing my best poses and being the cutest little star!

         

Sunshine, Sniffs and Smiles on the Field

I made the most of the sunshine today, playing with the children, chasing shadows, and soaking up every golden ray!

         

      

A Pawsome Welcome for Isla

I was all tail wags when I welcomed new student Isla, the perfect furry friend to help her feel right at home!

Paddington’s Reading Time

Today, I joined Hugo, Mason, and Ryan for a reading session in the library.  Paddington sat by, enjoying every moment before dozing off at the end.

Peaceful Paws in the Woodland

I enjoyed some quiet downtime in the woods today, stretching out in the shade, listening to the birds, and soaking up all the peaceful calm.

Shining Stars and a Wagging Tail

I was thrilled to celebrate with our Stars of the Week, lots of proud smiles, pats, and wagging tails all around!

Paddington Meets the Leaders of the Pack!

I enjoyed some VIP cuddles today with our class reps, feeling paws-itively proud to hang out with such fantastic role models!

I just loved all the gentle grooming from the nursery children, soft brushes, kind hands, and so many giggles!

I had the best time exploring the woods today, sniffing, strolling, and soaking up all the sights and sounds of nature!

Paddington’s Maths Adventure!

Hello, friends! It’s Paddington, your school dog. Guess what? I joined the Year 1 maths class today! 🐾

I helped with counting all the way to 20 (I wagged my tail every time they got it right!). The Year 1s were super friendly. It was so much fun!
